After all, a king needs a queen, and now that he’s back from the dead, this evil billionaire has big plans.

SHE WANTS HIM DEAD. Mia Turner made painful sacrifices to save the love of her life from his cursed hell. So when he promised to love and protect her always, she believed him. But after he trades his life to save his brother, she’s left all alone with a baby and a broken heart. Until he returns. Evil, more powerful, and with absolutely no memory of her.

Can she find a way to bring back the man he once was, or will she have to send him back to hell?

“You want to see my power?”  I snapped my arm away and stuck my middle finger in his face.  “#$(* you, King.  You and the 10 Club.” – The Ten Club, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

I am not sure if it was years of experience working in the corporate world that gave Mimi Jean Pamfiloff a gift for writing mad characters and even more mad villains, or maybe parenting…because that makes us all a little insane, but she definitely has talent.  Even her contemporary works can capture the darkness in people and this is definitely a dark read.  I really enjoyed each book in the King series, and I am sure many King series fans were looking forward to closing the book on The Ten Club (see what I did there?).  While the story can definitely stand alone, I recommend starting with King’s, the first book in the series.

After the epic ending in Mack, we thought all was lost for King and Mia.  Now it appears he’s back on the scene, but he isn’t back for his wife and son – he’s here to take back up the mantle of evil.  I admire Mia’s strength and dedication to do what is necessary, and we get to see a lot of that over the course of this 263-page read.  I felt that King was a little less present in this story, mainly because the reader was presented with several different aspects of King’s potential.  The same characters we have come to enjoy appear in this book, as well as those we have definitely come to hate.  In the interest of avoiding spoilers, though, I am not going to go into detail.  If you enjoy paranormal romance, particularly those with a dark and painful current, definitely check these books and the author out.
