Wilder by Rebecca Yarros

I shook my head and tore my eyes away.  What was the point of looking, wanting, when he was so far out of my league that we were playing different sports?  And besides, what kind of sport gave a guy a body like that?  Where every muscle had a purpose? – Wilder by Rebecca Yarros

This book was fantastic!  Definitely a high octane contemporary, the story revolves around a professional adrenaline junkie and the tutor assigned to him during a nine-month Study at Sea program.  Despite their marked differences, the two unlikely romantic interests are drawn to one another.  There are a lot of obstacles, from physical to psychological and emotional, for the two to overcome if they plan on trying for a happily-ever-after.  A new adult contemporary romance, this likely qualifies as one of the wealthier romances too…I mean who else has the funds to do Study at Sea AND flit around the world taping adrenaline/daredevil stunts?  This book takes the reader all sorts of places!  You can travel to the exotic destinations of the world between these pages, and do crazy things while you are there!  I really loved the characters, all of them – and am very much looking forward to the next book in the series, Nova.  This was a deep, detailed read with a great deal of emotion and an interesting world.  I would recommend it to any of my book friends.
