Feel The Burn by G.A. Aiken

“We should kill him here,” Zoya said.  “Put him out of his misery.”  “I’d prefer you not,” he said simply.  “Quiet, penis-haver.”  He smirked.  “You say that like it’s a bad thing.” – Feel The Burn by G.A. Aiken

Get ready, people.  This is G.A. Aiken (aka Shelly Laurenston) at her best!  I love her Dragon Kin series because she writes absolute hilarity, adorable and charismatic characters, and steamy love scenes!  The worldbuilding for this series is awesome, and fans of paranormal romance will not be disappointed.  While I think the book can stand alone, reading the series will definitely accentuate the experience…I mean I already told you it was made of win, so what are you waiting for?

“Then find something to do, Kachka, rather than sitting around glaring at everyone.”  “What can I do here?”  Kachka demanded.  “What is there for me to do?  Farm?”  She stopped, glaring at her sister.  “Is that what you want me to be?  A farmer?  Like some…man?  Is that what you think of me?  That I’m a worthless man?” – Feel The Burn by G.A. Aiken

I have been looking forward to the story of the one-eyed iron dragon and rebel king since he was introduced to the series.  His being paired with a human woman who is more than willing to resist him just makes the story all the more sweet.  The Riders of the Outerplains have been a fascinating addition to the series, and I am really enjoying all the strong females.  Kachka is definitely a woman to be reckoned with – warrior, rider, hunter, and generally homicidal human being.  Gaius is a handsome handful, and trouble seems to follow both of the main characters throughout the book.  The author writes amazing action and often connects characters with readers on multiple levels.
